# Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency causes:
A. Haemophilia
B. Hemolytic anaemia
C. Aplastic anaemia
D. Megaloblastic anaemia
The correct answer is B. Hemolytic anemia.
The red blood cells are well protected against oxidation because of adequate generation of reduced glutathione.
